Her Excellency Belinda Lewis, the new UK Ambassador to Kuwait, visited the university campus on 7th June 2021. HE Mrs. Lewis met with the President and the management of KCST to discuss the ongoing collaborations between KCST and several UK organisations, including the Cybersecurity Education and Research Conference, which was organised by the British Embassy, KCST, the British Council, CITRA and KU as well as the UK Cylon Cyber Accelerator hosted recently by KCST. She also listened to the expansion plans of KCST in partnership with City, University of London Business School. The Ambassador had a tour at some of the key facilities and laboratories of the campus and, in particular, the newly established impressive and unique Cybersecurity Centre with its state-of-art cyber facilities. HE had the opportunity to view some of the final year projects during the tour, including a firefighting drone and solar-powered water cooler. She was mainly impressed with the miniature remote-controlled intelligent mine detecting vehicle that KCST students developed.
