Dr. Chibli Joumaa was appointed as Associate Professor of Computer Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science of the Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) in April 2020. In addition to his role in the Computer Science and Engineering department, he oversees accreditation related processes in collaboration with the coordinators, dean, and president. He has previously occupied several teaching, administrative, and managerial positions in reputed education institutions.Dr. Chibli Joumaa holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Balamand in Lebanon, in 2004, and a master’s in Network Telecommunication and System Architecture from France, in 2005. He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from the the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbeliard, France in 2010. He is the author of many publications and have attended many professional trainings and workshops for the ABET accreditation. He is an ABET IDEAL scholar since 2017.

Prof Haidar Ramadhan is a hardcore academic specializing in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, HCI, Data Sciences and Programming Paradigms; received BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina (USA) in 1985 and 1988, and the PhD degree in Computer Science and AI from the University of Sussex (UK) in 1993; a full Professor with more than three decades of experience in all key areas of academia. On teaching and curriculum side, (1) teaching BS, MS, and PhD courses as well as supervising student projects and dissertations across these three levels; (2) designing, reviewing, improving and restructuring curriculum and programs both for BS and MS degrees; (3) conducting external college and department reviews; (4) establishing new academic units, departments, colleges, and research groups and centers; and (5) leading the implementation operations of agreements with international academic affiliations and partners.
On the research side, (a) conducting advanced, individual, collaborative and funded research which resulted in publishing 31 reviewed journal articles, 3 book articles, and 29 reviewed articles in international conferences; (b) receiving a large national research grant from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, a research grant from the Oman Research council, and 3 research grants from Sultan Qaboos University; and (3) extensively contributing to journal editorial boards and to the organization of conferences, workshops and symposiums in addition to chairing main and technical program committees.
On the management side, (1) founder and chair of the Computer Science department at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), (2) Dean of the College of Science, (3) member of the University Academic Council for 8 years (the highest authority of SQU), (4) member of several foundation committees for new colleges and departments, (5) chair and member of 3 university strategic planning committees, (6) Dean (President) of a private university college, (7) Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic and Research of a private university, and (8) consultant for strategic planning and quality assurance.

Dr. Ismaeel Al Ridhawi received his BASc, MASc, and Ph.D degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in 2007, 2009, and 2014, respectively. He is a registered professional engineer in Ontario (P.Eng). Dr. Al Ridhawi is a Senior IEEE member with many peer-reviewed publications in highly ranked magazines, journals and conference proceedings. He is an associate and guest editor in many journals and has organized a number of IEEE conferences over the years. His current research interests include service provisioning in next generation networks, wireless network management, and service-specific overlay networks.

Dr. Basil Alothman
joined Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) as Assistant Professor
at Computer Science and Engineering Department. Dr. Basil graduated from De
Montfort University, Leicester, UK with PhD in Computer Science. He received
his MSc in Computer Science from University of Hertfordshire, UK and BSc in
Computing & Information System from University of Dubai, UAE. Dr. Basil is
mainly interested in cybersecurity science or more specifically, computer and
network security issues, mobile security, computer privacy, OSINT, reverse
engineering, cloud and VM security, big data security, IoT security, and Botnet
detection techniques.

Dr Ehtesham Hassan is an Assistant professor in the department of CSE at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait. His research interests’ focus on problems related to computer vision, machine learning, data mining and pattern recognition. He holds a PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi where his research focused on learning methods for multimedia content modeling. Before joining the KCST, he worked as Scientist in the TCS Research, New Delhi, India conducting applied research in artificial intelligence based applications including sensor analytics, visual analytics, augmented reality and robotics.

Dr. Omar Khattab received his PhD degree in Data Telecommunications and Networks, at School of Computing, Science and Engineering, Salford University, United Kingdom, in 2014. Dr. Khattab was awarded the Dean’s Prize for the best postgraduate student in recognition of his outstanding research works and achievements as a postgraduate researcher. Dr. Khattab has over than twelve years of progressively responsible between teaching, researching and supervision, in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UK and Jordan. Dr. Khattab has more than twenty refereed publications as first author. Dr. Khattab obtained lots of Professional Certificates in the field of Computer Networks and IT from Cisco and Microsoft.

Dr. Omer Adam earned his PhD in information technologies (computer science) from the School of Information Technologies at The University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Engineering College at Kuwait University. He has joined the KCST as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in 2018. His research interests include resource allocation and resource efficiency in cloud computing and IoT, system modelling and simulation, system performance analysis, and Big Data processing applications.

Dr. Murad Khan is an Assistant professor in the department of CSE at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait. Dr. Khan received his MS and Ph.D. degrees from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, in 2017. Before joining the KCST, he worked as a Korea Research Fellow with the School of Computer Science & Engineering, Kyungpook National University, South Korea. His research expertise includes designing energy-efficient communication protocols for the Internet of Things using machine and deep learning techniques. Dr. Khan has published more than 100 research articles in top-tier journals and international conferences.

Dr. Abdullatif BABA has joined Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) in 2022, as Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering Department. Dr. BABA graduated from Paul SABATIER University, Toulouse, France, with Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. He received his MSc in Automatic systems from the same university. Dr. BABA is mainly interested in Computer vision, AI-based applications, embedded systems, UAVs, and robotics.

Dr. Mohammad Faisal Naji is an assistant professor in the department of CSE at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, Kuwait. Dr. Mohammed received his MS and Ph.D degrees from King Saud University in 20012 and 2016 respectively. Dr. Mohammad worked as an assistant professor and supervisor of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the college of applied computer sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mohammed is also an artificial intelligence and robotics consultant at the Artificial Intelligence Center of Advanced Studies (Thakaa), and the Center of Smart Robotics Research (SC2R), King Saud University. Dr. Mohammed won the President of the Republic of Yemen Youth Award for the Applied Sciences Branch for the year 2013, as well as many scientific and research awards and medals. Dr. Mohammed’s research is currently focusing on the use of robots and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of life and find innovative solutions. Dr. Mohammed was involved in more than 13 scientific-funded projects and has published more than 60 research articles, books, and patents.

He has conducted research on various fields in computer science and engineering and disseminated the research results in various international conferences and in scientific journals. He has received various best paper awards. Moreover, have received many best teacher awards in his earlier academic assignments. He was the advisor for syllabus revision at Mahatma Gandhi (MG University, also the Chief Examiner. Moreover, was expert a consultant in various Government of Kerala IT programs.

Mr. Abdalla Abbi is a university lecturer at Kuwait College of Science and Technology – KCST. Formerly, he was working as a teaching assistant at Kuwait University. He has graduated from Kuwait University with an MSc in Computer Engineering. His master research titled: “Conceptual Description of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol” was published in the SCOPUS journal. He is a big advocate and a user for open source projects like Python and its frameworks. Currently, he's following up with the most recent news about cloud infrastructures and their developments as he is a certified oracle cloud infrastructure architect. When he’s not teaching, he is into sports like jogging or football.

Mr. Tariq Mohedat is a Lecturer in the CSE Department at Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) since 2018. He received a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science at Yarmouk University - 2004 Irbid – Jordan, and Master Degree in Computer Information Systems at Yarmouk University - 2010 Irbid – Jordan. Mr. Farid Jradi is a full time Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) , where he has been since June 2022. From 2002 to 2022 he served as a full time Lecturer in the Department of Computer Studies at Arab Open University, Kuwait. He received a B.E. in Computer and Communication Engineering from American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon 1990, and a MSc. In Computer Engineering from Kuwait University, Kuwait, 2000.

Ms. Lekshmi Devi received her Master’s degree, from University of Kerala with specialization in Computer Science and Engineering and earned Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science and Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining the University she worked as a Teaching Assistant in University of Kerala. She was a recipient of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India scholarship. She has qualified in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). Ms. Hanan Al-Sharah is a
Lab assistant in Computer Science Engineer Department at KCST (Kuwait College
of Science and Technology). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Information
Sciences from College of Life Sciences (formerly College of Women), Kuwait
University in 2010. She was appointed as software developer at the Public
Authority for Applied Education and Training (2018). She worked as head of the
IT Department for one of the centers, at the Ministry of Awgaf & Islamic
Affairs (2019). She is currently a supervisor of robotics club at KCST. She is
interested in science information technology, enterprise networking, cyber
security, Internet of Things (IOT), bid data analysis, and robotics programming.

Abouelhassan obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer engineering from Kuwait
college of science and Technology. Zainab graduated in spring 2021 and was
given a Lab Assistant position in Computer and Engineering Department at KCST
in May 2021. She was so active during her years of studies. She was the vice
president of the YES club and she was a part of many competitions. Zainab was a
part of the Nanotechnology research group with Dr Nader at the university, and
they had a paper published together. She won first place in the Huawei seeds for
the future program and a trip to China is waiting for her. She started to work
at KCST after her recognized performance during her studies. During her last
year of studies, she took a training program in Odoo development in one of the
companies and worked there for 5 months before she comes back to the university
and works as a lab assistant. Zainab Abu Alhassan considers herself lucky for
getting the opportunity to work at her beloved university KCST. Her research
interests are in Machine learning, Wireless communication and Nanotechnology.

Reem AL-Shammari is a Lab Assistant in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology. She is a graduate of the Kuwait College of Science and Technology’s computer engineering program in 2021 and was particularly interested in youth empowerment and voluntary social activities during her time studying there. AL-Shammari was the founder and President of the Youth Empowerment Society (YES) at KCST for two years in a row. Reem was the youth ambassador at the “Kafo” program as well as the “New Kuwait Vision” ambassador at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development. She was a four times winner of the dean’s list at KCST. Reem’s research interests are in machine learning, visual analytics and image processing.

Shahad Alshaher is a Lab Assistant for the Cyber Security Centre in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology. Shahad earned her Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Kuwait University in October 2020. Besides excelling in courses during her time in university, she had a part-time job as a Robotec Trainer, voluntarily worked as a Teaching Assistant for a Machine Learning course, and was Honor listed in fall semester 2018/2019. Her graduation project earned Zain’s first place Innovation and Creativity Award in the 37th engineering exhibition, in December 2019. She pursued certifications in various fields including cryptography and network security, digital forensic, Android development, embedded systems, cybersecurity, and machine learning. In addition to her passion towards cybersecurity, Shahad’s research interests include web application security, digital forensics, network security and cryptography, artificial intelligence, and automation programming.
