Conditions

CGPA is minimum 65%

The applicant must complete a high school in the scientific stream

The age of high school certificate must not exceed 11 years. Exceptions can be decided on a case by case basis, upon the President’s approval

CGPA is minimum 65% which is equivalent to 2.25

The school must be certified by the Ministry of the higher Education in Kuwait

It is required to pass scientific subjects which are: Biology, Chemistry , Algebra II, Physics , Calculus or pre-Calculus

Mathematics of the tenth and eleventh grade is equivalent to Algebra It should be completed in four consecutive years

Make sure that the student’s study is not a merger

Bilingual schools that follow the credit hour system: the number of passed credits is minimum 24

Online courses are not counted

The GPA calculation rate for American and bilingual schools is as follows: (CGPA+1*20)

The Private Universities Council (PUC) approves 6 subjects, whereas Kuwait University and the Public Authority of Applied Education and Training (PAAET) require 8 scientific subjects

High school certificate must include four scientific subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math) and two elective courses e.g. (Arabic & English). Only one D grade is allowed. Exceptions to the number of D grades rule can be decided on a case by case basis.

Tests of English, Arabic and Islamic studies must be certified by the Ministry of Education, or issued by the British Council or the private school that gives the material as a simplified second language (simplified Arabic or Simplified Islamic studies) within Kuwait

A formula is created to calculate the CGPA. It is available in the Forms section

Higher Secondary School Certificate (Part II) required with a minimum average of 42 or 2.25 GPA equivalent

Completion with a minimum cumulative average of 65% or equivalent for 2.25

Graduates’ certificate exam must be conducted by Central Board for Secondary School in India

Note : The following documents are required from the external high school graduates :

  • High schools completed in institutions outside Kuwait must be certified by the following: Kuwait Embassy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, and Ministry of Private Education
  • Equivalency from Ministry of Private Education must be provided
  • Saudi high school graduates must submit extra documents: aptitude and placement tests

IELTS/TOEFL Certificate

Applicants can be exempted from the English entrance exam if the following conditions apply:

  • Minimum scores are: 5.5 (IELTS), 72 (TOEFL)
  • Validity of the certificate is 2 years
  • The certificate must be submitted before the end of the add/drop period
