President's Message
It is a great privilege to welcome you to Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) at one of the most exciting stages in our development.
Since welcoming our first students in 2016, KCST has grown rapidly while remaining committed to a clear mission: to provide high-quality, internationally benchmarked education, advance research and innovation, and prepare graduates with the knowledge, skills and values needed to contribute to Kuwait and an increasingly technology-driven world.
By the end of the 2025/26 academic year, more than 1,800 students had graduated from KCST. Their success across the public and private sectors reflects our commitment to student-centred learning, graduate employability, entrepreneurship and future-ready skills.
Our progress is increasingly recognised internationally. In the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2026, KCST was ranked 51st among Arab universities, marking a significant achievement for a young institution and reinforcing our ambition for excellence in teaching, research, international outlook and societal impact.
Education, Research and Innovation
Our students remain at the heart of everything we do. We continuously develop our curricula, teaching, laboratories and learning environment to ensure our programmes are academically rigorous, internationally benchmarked and responsive to the needs of industry and society.
We place particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Analytics, renewable and sustainable technologies, digital transformation and advanced engineering. Alongside technical knowledge, we develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, teamwork and leadership—capabilities essential for successful careers and lifelong learning.
Research and innovation are equally central to our mission. Our faculty and students work in strategically important areas including AI and robotics, cybersecurity, communications and 5G, renewable energy, Internet of Things and smart systems. We continue to strengthen research quality and impact, industry engagement, applied research, entrepreneurship, innovation and knowledge transfer, connecting academic expertise with real-world challenges.
International Outlook and Partnerships
International collaboration is fundamental to KCST’s development. Our strategic partnerships include the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) for engineering and technology curriculum development; Bayes Business School, City St George’s, University of London, for our business programmes; and Bentley University, USA, for Executive Education and professional development.
These partnerships are complemented by collaborations with universities and research institutions worldwide in joint research, knowledge exchange and academic development, strengthening KCST’s international outlook and bringing global expertise and opportunities to our students and faculty.
Sustainability and Societal Impact
We believe a university should be measured not only by what it teaches and publishes, but also by the positive impact it creates for society.
KCST integrates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into education, research, student projects and community engagement. Through teaching, research, institutional stewardship, inclusion and community outreach, we contribute to sustainable development and Kuwait’s national priorities, with particular emphasis on innovation, sustainability, accessibility, skills development and partnerships. In the latest Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, KCST was ranked in the 401–600 band internationally in more than one category, in particular SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
As KCST enters its next stage of growth and transformation, we continue to invest in our academic programmes, faculty, research capacity, digital infrastructure, laboratories, student services and campus facilities.
