Dr. Trabelsi received the Ph.D. degree in Energy Systems from INSA Lyon, France in 2009. From October 2009 to August 2018, he has been holding different Research positions at Qatar University and Texas A&M University at Qatar. Since September 2018, he has been with Kuwait College of Science and Technology as an Associate Professor. His research interests include Systems Control with applications arising in the contexts of Power Electronics, Renewable Energies Integration, and Smart Grids. Dr. Trabelsi has been participating as Principal Investigator in research projects resulting in about $6 Million of funding. Dr. Trabelsi is an IEEE senior member.

John Avaritsiotis was born in Greece in 1948. He received his B.Sc. (Hon.) in physics from the University of Athens in 1972. His M.Sc. and Ph.D. were obtained from Loughborough University of Technology, in 1974 and 1976. From 1976 to 1979 he was employed as a research fellow in the Electrical Engineering Department. From 1980 to 1986 he was appointed Lecturer at the Electronics Laboratory of Athens University, and in 1986 he was elected Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. In 1990 he was elected Professor of Microelectronics in the same Department. Professor Avaritsiotis is the Co-Editor of the Journal Active and Passive Electronic Components, Guest Editor of IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and manufacturing Technology and Senior Member of IEEE.

Prof. Dr. M. Murugappan is currently a Full Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST), Kuwait. In India, Malaysia, and Kuwait, he taught and conducted research for more than 15 years. Stanford University researchers ranked him in the top 2-percent of scientists worldwide in 2020, 2021, and 2022 for Experimental Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cognitive Neuroscience. He has authored 70 articles in SCI/SCOPUS journals, 58 conference proceedings, seven book chapters, and edited eight books. Google Scholar records a maximum score of 5654+ citations, along with an H index of 37 and an i10 score of 81 (Ref: Google Scholar). He has been awarded nearly $2.5M for his research by the Malaysian government and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). He is currently the IEEE Kuwait Section's Chair of Educational Activities. Affective Computing, Affective Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interface, Neuromarketing, Neuroeconomics, Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence are his primary interests.

Abolfazl Mehbodniya received his Ph.D. from University of Quebec, Canada, in 2010. From 2010 to 2017 he worked in Japan in different roles, i.e., JSPS research fellow, assistant professor at Tohoku University and research scientist at ATR. From 2017 to 2018 he was a Marie-Curie senior research Fellow at UCD, Ireland. Since 2018, he is an associate professor at KCST. Dr. Mehbodniya has 15+ years of experience in academia and industry with over 100 publications. He is the recipient of JSPS young faculty grant, KDDI foundation grant, European commission Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Fellowship and NSERC Visiting Fellowships in Canadian Government Laboratories.

Dr. Webber received his Ph.D degree from Bristol University in 2004 and from 2007 conducted post-doctoral research on wireless communications at Hokkaido University, Japan. He joined Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), Kyoto in 2012 as a Research Scientist and from 2018 he was an Assistant Professor at Osaka University. Since 2022, he has been with Kuwait College of Science and Technology as an Associate Professor. His research interests include communications engineering, machine learning, and signal & image processing with emphasis on real-time implementation. Dr Webber is an IEEE senior member.

Ahmed Arafa received the B.Sc. degree with first class honors from Kuwait University, Kuwait, in 2006, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, in 2010 and the University of British Columbia, in 2015, respectively. From 2015 to 2018, Ahmed held joint Post-Doctoral Fellow positions at the mechatronic systems engineering department at Simon Fraser University, Intel Corporation, and the University of British Columbia. Ahmed has secured several research grants from Mitacs and Canada's Department of National Defence. His research interests are in visible light positioning, GNSS, MEMS inertial navigation, robotics and wearable technology applications.

Zied Bouida received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, in 2015. From 2016 to 2023, he was a Senior Research Associate and Cisco Chair Technical Manager at the Internet of Things (IoT) Lab at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.??He is currently an Assistant?Professor at Kuwait College of Science?and Technology (KCST), Kuwait City, Kuwait. His research interests include the modeling, design, and performance analysis of wireless, IoT, and Non-Terrestrial Networks. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Professional Member of the IEEE Honors Society, and a Professional Engineer of Ontario.

Dr. Basem M. Elhalawany received master and Ph.D. degrees from Benha University, and Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Egypt, in 2011 and in 2014, respectively. He was a research fellow with Shenzhen University, China, and Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He holds a tenured associate professor position with Benha University. He is currently a faculty with Kuwait-college of science and technology. He has authored 70 research papers in international leading journals/conferences. His research interests include performance analysis, resource management, optimization, NOMA, satellite networks, and machine learning applications. He is an associate editor of Alexandria Engineering Journal and IEEE senior member.

Ms. Deepa Vijayaraghavan studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur where she obtained her master’s degree in Telecommunication Networks in 2002. Mariam Fawaz received her M.Sc. distinction with class honours in advanced electronic systems engineering from the University of Kent in the UK, her M.Sc. project won the BAE systems prize for the best overall MSc Engineering project in 2017. B.Sc. distinction with class honours in Electronics & Controls from The Australian University of Kuwait in 2016. She Worked in HOT engineering & Construction Co. as a BMS engineer in Ahmad Al Jaber Exhibition centre, was responsible for Monitoring a building management system that controls CCTV, Fire alarm system, HVAC and electrical system. Taking necessary actions when any of the systems fail, supervising on-site maintenance for systems. Currently she is working at KCST as a Teaching Assistant in Electronics and Communications department. She published a paper in her M.Sc. Her research interests are 3D printed electronics and wearable electronics.

Khalid Khirallah Sakat, M.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with distinction from University of Leeds in 2017. He received his BEng (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from university of Leeds in 2016. He is currently working for KCST as a Teaching Assistant in Electronics and Communication Department. In the past three years, he has worked at PAAET as a Teaching Assistant. Over the course of the last five years, he has acquired significant practical experience in manufacturing and oil and gas industries (KIPIC). As a major part of his job, he was responsible for implementing and planning preventive maintenance activities for Battery, Motor, Transformer, and Generator equipment, troubleshooting on-site equipment faults, and conducting load and no-load tests for diesel generators. The areas of research that interests him include renewable energies, control systems, power electronics, etc.

Roselin Raju obtained her master’s degree in Telecommunication engineering in 2014 from Kerala University, India. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication engineering in 2012 from Kerala University, India. She worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering in Cochin Institute of Science and Technology (CISAT), Ernakulam and Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET), Trivandrum from 2016 to 2022. Sara Nedal Hamed is a Lab Assistant in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Kuwait College of Science and Technology. She received her BSc in Electronics Engineering from Yarmouk University in 2019 with an excellent degree and she was the top ranked graduate in her department. Her final project was on the design, implementation and testing of a novel respiratory rate monitoring system using an optical sensor. Sara has a practical experience in the design and estimation of ELV and Security systems. Her research interest is in Solar Cells and Electronic Instrumentation.

Eng. Mustafa Alhariri is currently a Lab Assistant at Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST). Eng. Alhariri joined KCST in June 2022. He completed his MSc coursework and BSc in Electrical Engineering at Kuwait University. He worked previously as a part-time Teaching Assistant at Kuwait University and was responsible for several graduate courses. His research interests include power systems, power electronics, and renewable energy sources and their effect on power systems’ stability.

Abdulrahman Serhan is a former top student in Kuwait college of Science and Technology enrolled in fall of 2017 and graduated in spring of 2022. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, he graduated with a 4.00 CGPA and was the most active student in KCST as he participated in many competitions and achieved many awards for his contributions. He was one of the founders of the programming club, which was the most dominant club in KCST in terms of activities and workshops, he later became president of the club for the year 2021. He has many skills in different areas, ranging from programming, cybersecurity, machine learning, Arduino, to research and power electronics. His final year project was a solar charged AC power bank. He was also the lead and first author of the “Kuwait’s First Student CubeSat Mission” project which was a CubeSat launched into near space altitude to capture important weather data. In recognition of his achievements, he was offered a job as a Lab Assistant in the Electronics and Communications department. His current interests and potential research topics are in Renewable energies and power electronics.

Layal Mohammed Nabaa is a Lab Assistant in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at Kuwait College of Science and Technology. She received her BSc in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University in 2021 with an excellent degree. Layal’s capstone project was a hi-tech closet using a robotic arm, RFID sensor, DC motors, Arduino, and coding. Layal was enrolled in a MSc degree program in electrical engineering at Kuwait University. Her research interest is in nonlinear control and PV solar system. Layal worked as an electrical design engineer, she was responsible for designing power, low voltage, and lighting systems with their schematics and load calculations. She has a wide practical experience in pre-sales work, estimation of low voltage systems, Busduct, and UPS with its battery calculations.
